It is official, my last day of work at the Prison is 10 Sept 06. I’ve turned in my letter of resignation last week, and have been burning sick leave (by order of my Captain) since I don’t get payed out for it. I’ve decided to work right up till my start date with the Police Department so I will not have a gap of time where pay will be an issue. The day of the 10th I will drop off all of my gear and turn in my badge. I’m sure there is paperwork that I will need to fill out, but I cant imagine that taking much time.
On the 11th I think we are just going to be filling out paper work, getting our insurance and retirement taken care of. I believe we will also be issued our gear. I cant wait, I’m starting to get restless now, like it’s Christmas eve and I’m 5 years old or something.
