Psychological Test: 1pm- 2pm

It only took 344 questions of me answering: False, Somewhat True, Mostly True, and Very True to find out: My drugs use, If I’ve thought about killing myself, If I’m a thrill seeker or if I take unnecessary risk, My current health status, About my temper and if I have a short fuse, How I interact in social setting, Weather or not I believe in mind control. Not only my mind being controlled but if I can control others minds. (Good thing I didn’t tell them I was a Jedi)

Other notable items that I found out:

Raymond Kertezc doesn’t exist (I goggled him after the test).

If you like Archery and stamp collecting, you might be “flagged”

No one watched the high jump in the Olympics.

Going to the dentist is not everyone’s favorite pastime.

Once I returned from my lunch break I was taken back into the recruiting office and sat at a table with a Psychological Assessment Test and answer sheet on the desk. I was told to take as much time as needed and once I was done with the “test” to turn it in. The test was rather redundant, but anyone who has taken a similar test knows this. It seems there are only about 50 questions that are asked within the entire booklet, but they reword the same questions to compare the answers given. Every 75 or so questions they placed a “trick” question, I guess to see if the test taker was reading the questions or something.

“My favorite sports event on television is the high jump” “Sometimes I get ads in the mail that I don’t want” “Sometimes it seems that my thoughts are broadcast so others can hear them” “My favorite poet is Raymond Kertzec” “Most people would rather win than lose” “Sometimes it feels as if somebody is blocking my thoughts” “My favorite hobbies are archery and stamp-collecting.”

  1. I understand that you probably don’t understand the validity of the test, but it is unethical (and depending illegal) to talk about the test contents. I know that many of the questions are just to make sure that people are paying attention but if you tell the people who aren’t going to be paying attention then they will be more likely to… that is what the test wants to screen. For the relaiablity of further assessment I ask that you edit some of the content here.

  2. “Sometimes it seems that my thoughts are broadcast so others can hear them” “Sometimes it feels as if somebody is blocking my thoughts”

These two questions were not “tricks,” they are supposed to determine schizophrenic tendencies.

Congratulate yourself that they were completely unreal to you. You must not be schizophrenic.

  3. Sorry Danielle, those comments are all over the internet. It’s not likely anyone looks this up before they take the test. I wanted to know who Raymond was. I was an English major, and never heard of him. Incidentally, I answered false.

  4. I just took this test and I don’t see why he should edit it – I think it’s highly unethical, not to say it might be innacurate.

Hell, I was thinking about blogging about it! But you did a good job already.

Someday I’ll put the whole test on the web I guess. What’s the name of the test again?

    CHEERS

  5. I just took that test about 30 minutes, for reasons I don’t want to explain.
I think I have recently taken the same test before.
I like poetry but I have never heard of that poet.
Those stupid questions are a poem.
I’m not sure how to answer some.
Some are similar. It’s stupid and funny.

  6. like most of the posts, i too just took the test and googled raymond k cos i’d never heard of him and wondered who he was (i answered false…see i was paying attention)

  7. I took the test and hadn`t heard of old Raymond and was wondering why would a reference to an individual poet be in a psych test. It was obviously significant so i wrote the name on my arm and have just googled it. The previous night i couldn`t sleep well and during the test i fell asleep for a fw seconds on about four occassions it was so boring. Even so i got all the tick questions. I did wonder if some of the obscure questions were trying to find out if you were a subversive though.

  8. Wow…I took that test last week and wrote that name down, Raymond, as well. I had been meaning to “Google” it thinking he must be some dark and depressing poet that if I was truly sad and depressed that I would have sought out.

Well, I supose I passed…I have not been picked up by the men in the white coats, yet….YET…

It is not just a test for employment, it is used by psychologists to determine what all MAY be your issues… As an earlier person pointed out, sort of.

    Anywho… thanks for posting this.

Now I know at least one of me is not crazy…
