It is official, my last day of work at the Prison is 10 Sept 06. I’ve turned in my letter of resignation last week, and have been burning sick leave (by order of my Captain) since I don’t get payed out for it. I’ve decided to work right up till my start date with the Police Department so I will not have a gap of time where pay will be an issue. The day of the 10th I will drop off all of my gear and turn in my badge. I’m sure there is paperwork that I will need to fill out, but I cant imagine that taking much time. Read more »

I was glad to see that the other four other guys where as nervous as I was as we sat in the Recruiting office waiting for our final offer of employment.
The final offer of employment was a lot different than what I had expected, but in a way I was glad. I was expecting it to be a big production, but instead it was a bit rushed. We all sat at a large table with the Major at the head. Read more »

It only took 344 questions of me answering: False, Somewhat True, Mostly True, and Very True to find out: My drugs use, If I’ve thought about killing myself, If I’m a thrill seeker or if I take unnecessary risk, My current health status, About my temper and if I have a short fuse, How I interact in social setting, Weather or not I believe in mind control. Not only my mind being controlled but if I can control others minds. (Good thing I didn’t tell them I was a Jedi) Read more »

Today was my polygraph “interrogation”, and YES it’s as bad as they say it is. I was so nervous even thought I had nothing to hide. I feel like he was trying to get me to admit to things that could cause me to be disqualified, but than again I guess that’s the point.
It was a long three hours in what I’m sure is the smallest office at the police station.

The recruiting Lieutenant called me today to see if I was still interested in working for the City Police Department!! I was able to run down town and see him in person to go over, and arrange the final steps in the application process. all I needed was an hour or so to get ready. After a quick clean-up job I was on my way to the Police Station to speak with the recruiting Lieutenant about [hopefully] my new job.
